Empire Of The Sun Nominated For Two BRIT Awards

Empire of the Sun are up for the International Album and International Newcomer awards at the 2010 BRIT Awards this year.

?ÇÿWalking On A Dream,?ÇÖ has been named to compete with Animal Collective ?ÇÿMerriweather Post Pavillion?ÇÖ, Black Eyed Peas ?ÇÿThe E.N.D,?ÇÖ, Lady Gaga ?ÇÿThe Fame?ÇÖ and Jay-Z ?ÇÿBlueprint 3?ÇÖ.

Empire of the Sun are also up against another Aussie, Daniel Merriweather as well as Animal Collective, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift for Best International Newcomer.

In fact, Empire of the Sun frontman Luke Steele has a further chance of talking part of an award as he also appears on the first track on ?ÇÿThe Blueprint 3?ÇÖ performing ?ÇÿWhat We Takin?ÇÖ About?ÇÖ with Jay-Z.

?Ç£The dream was the king for this record and it is becoming wilder and wilder as the sandman keeps cooking. This is a great honour, we are walking on a dream,?Ç¥ Luke Steele said in a statement.

The 2010 BRIT Awards will be held at Earl?ÇÖs Court, London on February 16.
