The Laneway Festival tomorrow has lost one of its headliners. Echo & The Bunnymen have been taken off the bill after singer Ian McCulloch missed the flight from London.
Echo & The Bunnymen were due to play at the Melbourne Festival at 6pm ahead of The Dirty Three and Florence and the Machine and after Sarah Blasko and Mumford & Sons.
A statement from Laneway reads, ?Ç£The Laneway Festival regrets that Echo & the Bunnymen are no longer to play the Melbourne Laneway Festival tomorrow. Lead singer Ian McCulloch, who was due to arrive in Melbourne tonight, has missed his flight from London and won't make it to Australia in time for the scheduled performance. At this stage, all other performances are due to go ahead as planned?Ç¥.
A replacement will be announced shortly but fans coming along especially to see Echo & The Bunnymen can apply for a refund.
