Underworld DJ Rick Smith has been taken to hospital in Athens after "anarchists" stormed the Ejekt Festival where they were scheduled to play.
Smith is now back in Britain undergoing further treatment for what has been described as "serious" injuries.
The Beastie Boys were performing on stage at around 11.20pm when around 30 masked people stormed the festival with baseball bats, iron bars and teargas.
A statement on Underworld's official site reads, "as cars were burned and property damaged, the stadium was evacuated. Underworlds' Rick Smith was one of the injured. He was hospitalised for a time in Athens, but has now returned to the UK for further treatment. Several other people including security guards were seriously hurt."
At the moment no announcements have been made regarding cancellations of shows. Their next scheduled show is on the 30th of June in Knebworth, U.K.
