Wendy Matthews has been chosen to perform on the steps of Parliament House in Canberra on Australia Day.
The free concert is expected to fetch around 30,000 people.
It has 5 years since Wendy released ?ÇÿCaf?? Naturale?ÇÖ but she has broken her musical drought with ?ÇÿShe?ÇÖ, a collection of songs by women. ?Ç£These artists and songs meant a lot to me growing up,?Ç¥ explains Wendy. ?Ç£They were strong women who used their personal suffering to create songs of such depth and beauty.?Ç¥
?ÇÿShe?ÇÖ features songs from Chrissie Hynde, Joni Mitchell, Bonnie Raitt and Aretha Franklin. Wendy will perform songs from the album at the Canberra show.
