Rockin Relief Adds Another $40,000 To The Bushfire Appeal

Michael Gudinski and The Frontier Touring Company has added another $40,000 in donations to the Bushfire Appeal with the Rockin` Relief charity auction.

A Gibson guitar, signed by the artists who played Sound Relief, raised $3000. An autographed harmonica from Billy Joel fetched $1230.

99 items raised $39,661 for the appeal.

Money raised for Rockin?ÇÖ Relief will go to the RSPCA for provide assistance for Vet expenses, livestock feed, wildlife carers, animal equipment and shelter.

It is estimated that around 1 million animals were either killed or injured when the devastating bushfire swept across Victoria in February.

In the last week, it was announced that the music industry raised $8 million from the Sound Relief concerts and Sony Music raised $1.6 million from the sales of the Bushfire Aid charity album.
