Paul McCartney has taken an extra step with his recently professed love of Brooklyn indie kids MGMT. He has invited them to open for him in Boston.
“I like MGMT,” McCartney recently said. “I'd like to work on some more dancey stuff with MGMT. But it has to happen organically.”
To test their worthiness, McCartney has mooted them for the support at the home of the Boston Red Sox, Fenway Park on August 5 and 6, according to music site Shock Hound.
McCartney has dabbled in dancey music before with the first two Fireman albums – a collaboration between him and producer Youth, but didn’t quite tackle the uber-sexy pop rhythms of MGMT.
