Two decades ago Chris Rea released the song `The Road To Hell`. The English singer songwriter recently revealed that for the last few years, he really has been in hell, recovering from an operation that saw his pancreas, duodenum and half of his stomach removed.
Rea told The Sunday Mail that only one in three people survive the operation. He also said he was the only person in that part of the hospital who made it.
The 58-year old singer says he will be happy when he reaches 60 because ?Ç£I was not supposed to be 60?Ç¥.
Rea lost 122 pounds following the operation and now has to take six injections and 34 pills a day.
He has just released a new Greatest Hits album titled ?ÇÿCome So Far Yet Still So Far To Go?ÇÖ. The title track is a new song.
He also has a new album on the way.
