Phil Collins had a number one hit all over the world when he covered The Supremes `You Can?ÇÖt Hurry Love`. Now he is going to do a whole album of Motown covers.
His version of ?ÇÿYou Can?ÇÖt Hurry Love?ÇÖ was released on his 1982 album ?ÇÿHello I Must Be Going?ÇÖ.
Collins, who now lives in Switzerland, was in Berlin this week to attend the first anniversary of the stage show Tarzan, featuring his music.
He told a German newspaper that his Motown album would feature up to 30 songs. ?Ç£ I want the songs to sound exactly like the originals,?Ç¥ he said.
While the album will feature the voice of Phil Collins, it will not include his signature drum sound. Collins has been unable to play drums since he had surgery for his dislocated vertebra in April this year.
