Usher Divorce Goes Through

Usher and wife Tameka are now officially divorced.

The two year marriage is legally over, five months after Usher first filed for divorce.

The 31-year-old R?ÇÖn?ÇÖB singer ?Çô who filed for divorce from Tameka Foster-Raymond, 38, in Atlanta, Georgia, on June 12 ?Çô claimed they had been living apart for almost a year.

In court documents Usher stated that there was "no reasonable hope of reconciliation" and the relationship was "irretrievably broken".

The 'Pop Ya Collar?ÇÖ singer ?Çô who has two sons with Tameka, 23-month-old Usher Raymond V and nine-month-old Naviyd Ely ?Çô was issued a decree absolute by a court in Georgia, US, last Wednesday (04.11.09).

Nyeisha Dewitt, the best friend of Tameka, insisted they had been the perfect couple when they married in August 2007.

She said: "They seemed to really complement one another in that way and bring out one another's strengths and balance each other out."

Usher ?Çô who filed for joint custody of Raymond and Naviyd - had previously spoken about how his sons gave him more purpose in life.

He said: "Before, everything was about accumulation and conquering. Kids give you more purpose. Now it's about transferring the wealth.

"I've got to take care of my babies. I want them to know Dad cared for them, nurtured them."

Rumours their marriage was on the rocks had been circulating for months after the US star was spotted partying with a number of women.
