The cause of the bus crash killing Bill Douglas, one of the drivers in the Miley Cyrus entourage, is now confirmed to be cardiac arrest of the driver.
Tragedy struck on Friday with 53-year William Douglas died after the bus he was driving ran off the road, hit an embankment and overturned.
Miley Cyrus was not in that bus but was travelling in another bus in convoy to her next gig in Greensboro, North Carolina on Sunday night.
A series of calls to 911 were made and instructions were given for CPR but Douglas died at the scene of the accident.
The Sunday night show will go ahead as planned.
In a statement, the Cyrus family said, “We are deeply saddened by the loss of Bill “Uncle Bill” Douglas. Members of our tour are like members of our family. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family in the midst of this tragedy. He will truly be missed.”
