Heard of The Yummy Fur? Probably not, but you may have heard of The 1990s and Franz Ferdinand? Ahh yes, that made your indieometer stand on end!
The Yummy Fur were a Glaswegian band that split up in 1999. It featured John McKeown on vocals and guitar, who later went on to form The 1990s.
Members of the revolving lineup included Alex Kapranos and Paul Thompson, who would later go on to form Franz Ferdinand.
The infectious blend of electro and indie will be back together, including Kapranos and Thompson, for their first ever US tour in support of an upcoming greatest hits.
