Golden Slipper contender out of the race

One of the key Golden Slipper chances from the Peter and Paul Snowden yard has been ruled out for the remainder of the Autumn Carnival.

Stratosphere made an eye-catching debut when narrowly defeated by the Golden Slipper second favourite Performer at Rosehill earlier this month.

The two-year-old was sitting at $15 in Golden Slipper betting before a statement released by Racing NSW advised the promising colt had been sent for a spell.

ā€œCo-trainer Paul Snowden has advised Racing NSW that STRATOSPHERE, which is an acceptor in the $3.5m Longines Golden Slipper, has been spelled and will not compete during the Sydney Autumn Carnival.ā€ The statement read.

The $3.5 million Golden Slipper (1200m) takes place on March 24 at Rosehill.
