Cat Empire : Two Shoes

Two Shoes

By Eve Jenkin

The Cat Empire is a six member jazz/hip-hop brass section-boasting band from Australia that have impressed audiences nationwide with their fun-filled live spectaculars.

Lead vocalist Felix Riebl quite adequately embodies the name of the band, purely by evoking the same sort of fun in those who witness his charm as the Cheshire Cat.

Rising to fame in Australia through 6 months of constant touring and hugely successful single "Hello", The Cat Empire have continued to spread their unusual style with their debut album going almost double platinum.

Deciding on a trip to Cuba to record their latest LP "Two Shoes", the product of their labors in the cigar capital of the world will be out in 2005, the first single titled "Sly".
