Shies away from the old-school
hip-hop feel of their first album just a tad in favor of a
more experimental sound.
Undoubtedly still a rock/hip-hop hybrid, “Demon Days’”
somewhat different flavor could be due to Dan The Automator’s
absence on the album – Dangermouse has taken over the
production reigns.
In true Gorillaz tradition, the album features special guests
such as De La Soul, Neneh Cherry, Roots Manuva, MF Doom, Martina
Topley-Bird, Ike Turner, Bootie Brown of the Pharcyde, Shaun
Ryder and, strangely enough, an appearance by Dennis Hopper.
