Betchadupa : Aim For Your
Head
By Tim Cashmere

Betchadupa's second album
is definitely the one to take them to the public eye. Their
debut effort 'The Alphabetchadupa' gave people an idea of
the band, but 'Aim For Your Head' shows they've grown into
competent musicians and a great pop group.
Whether it's the pop melodies of 'My Army of Birds and Gulls'
and 'Diversions', or the more rock orientated singles 'Who's
Coming Through The Window' and 'Move Over', this album is
diverse enough to grab anyone into the good old guitar.
'Weekend' is one moment on this album (sorry Liam, but it's
true) where front man Liam Finn sounds a lot like his dad,
Neil (of Crowded House/Split Enz/Finn Brothers fame).
Having recently relocated to Melbourne, the band are taking
themselves seriously now. With a small, but dedicated fan
base quickly brewing, Betchadupa will undoubtedly be one of
the hot rock groups of the near future.
