by Tim Cashmere The Casanovas have finally released their debut and it's thirty six minutes and fifty two seconds of pure rock 'n' roll bliss! It's Mötley Crüe in a rock 'n' roll world where everybody wants to be The Stooges. Out of the over mentioned "rock 'n' roll revolution" bands, The Casanovas are less original, less unique, less popular, less commercial, but by far and large the most amped half hour of riffage your mum has ever told you to turn down! 'Shake It' sums up all of these points in one track. Try singing the lyrics and melody of Mötley Crüe's 'Kickstart My Heart' along with this tune. It seems like a perfect fit, but just you try and let it get to you. This band is addictive. The opener 'Livin' In The City' in a subtly clever kind of way remotely sounds like the lyrics are "Living in the seventies!" and the chorus to 'Break Your Heart' is drunken sing along standard… beefed up for the soberer listeners by a killer guitar solo. So to quote myself, The Casanovas are "thirty six minutes and fifty two seconds of pure rock 'n' roll bliss!" They're a cliché, but they're a darn good one. - Tim Cashmere Track
