'It's About Time' opens with the first single 'Dip It Low' with the help of the grammatically challenged rapper, Fabolous. This is a catchy well produced track of course it is, it's a necessity nowadays, but it's been done a million times before. Joe Budden helps out on the dance tune 'Whatever U Want'. This track is dotted with great melodies and fairly simple music behind the straightforward and simple message of "Whatever u want I got it/whatever you need that's me." "I love a fast car and you've got a fast ride/so won't you take me for a spin out on your highway?" Milian sings in 'Highway'. This sounds like a psychologist has written this song to target rev heads! The return of Joe Budden comes with 'L.O.V.E.'. While this song lyrically is good ("Things about to change, I won't just give my heart away, 'cause when I do it's gonna be forever"), there is no real emotion in it, just a shallow voice singing what one of the track's four songwriters had put in front of her. 'It's About Time' isn't a bad album in any way, but if you already own albums by Brandy, Christina Aguilera and Beyonce, stick with them. - Tim Cashmere Track
