Endorphin : Seduction |

The Undercover Review The latest offering from Austrian-cum-Brisbanite, Endorphin is undoubtedly one of the most appropriately titled albums in music today. Seduction is just that, twelve seductive tracks that will invoke dancing, chilling, grooving and loving! From the good old sounds of the old-school organ that opens the opener, Endless you can tell a fascinating ride through sound is ahead of you. Passion keeps the groovy organ, this time bedding a fantastic Spanish guitar solo with a sound reminiscent of the great St. Germain. Fresh off the back of the Icehouse remix album comes a collaboration that couldn't make more sense at this point in Endorphin's career. Iva Davies of Icehouse lends his voice and skills on the guitar to Free World with a racial commentary "kill a man because of his colour/Is this the free world?" House music takes the lead with Tonight, one more step in the album as the chilled beats become more and more regular so far the sequence has been fantastic! Sorrow and Seduction both slow it back down, although the latter does have the doof doof beat it's more the saxophone that holds dreamland nearby, but One by One ensures you don't drift off permanently. A variety of sounds pass in and out of the album and two thirds of the route to completion is no time to throw that away. Summer holds a drum 'n' bass pace while Sarah McGregor provides some seductive vocals with a touch of hip hop flavour that fits in beautifully with the surrounding music on the album. Rain
brings the album to a close with a remarkably similar sound that opened
it smooth and casual although barely lifting from sleeping music this
time around. This album is a fantastic step in Endorphin's music as
a whole and is structured in a way that a single song could not be
selected above its neighbour. A must have for any "chilled beats"
enthusiast. By Tim Cashmere Track
