Lost Prophets : Start Something by Tim Cashmere
The Lost Prophets blend "nu-metal" with melodic punk resulting in a ball-tearing album with hooks that even the most stubborn music listener will appreciate and it takes just one song, 'We Still Kill The Old Way' to appreciate the great production, Ian Watkin's dynamic vocals and the band's thunder-like approach to music. 'Burn Burn' features some pounding drumming from beat man Mike Chiplin and 'Goodbye Tonight' sounds about as unique as you could expect a few guitars to sound, spliced in amongst great catchy chorus' of course! The strangest track on the album goes to 'We Are Godzilla, You Are Japan' with a sleazy beat working its way into their signature frenzied sound, only to reappear as the track fades off to the closer 'Sway', a tune of truly epic proportions, leading off into a dreamy ambience. The Lost Prophets may be known in certain circles as the "pretty boys" of rock, but whatever "those people" think, this album rocks HARD. -
